Fixes:
  • Text alignment on Analytics tab (minor cosmetic fix)
  • Calculation for most tries scored (analytics only – does not alter scores and pools etc)
Note: If this is a fresh download just click on the download links below and follow the instructions. If you download this fix to overwrite v9.73 you will have to re-enter your saved scores, sorry but that’s the way it works. Both fixes are minor but it’s early – only 5 matches played so your call.

Another Year, Another Dashboard, I present the ENGLAND 2015 Wallchart

Some time ago I wrote a dashboard for the 2014 Soccer World Cup and before that one for the 2011 Rugby World Cup. This year there is another Rugby World Cup so I started working on a new dashboard to track scores, teams and pools. It’s a little different to the last one as you still have to enter the scores and also the number of tries scored in order to calculate Try Bonus Points. You still need to SAVE your scores before you quit but that’s not exactly taxing – see the HELP page for usage. Please download the Dash, Movie and Instructions onto your desktop by following the download link at the end of the page or clicking on the image below.

p1

The dashboard allows you to enter scores and then save these locally. Please follow the instructions in the PDF Document or by viewing this short YouTube video or as displayed when the application starts. Each time you restart the model these saved scores should be re-applied to the dash and re-order the group tables. I have tested this on Internet Explorer and Google Chrome and found no issues. Please note this application is purely my own work and is not endorsed by SAP nor does it constitute any official communication from SAP.
ANALYSIS
Using SAP Lumira the data viz team at SAP analyzed data from all the World Cup tweets show some sentiment analysis around the event You can view the latest sentiment analysis from the Analysis tab of the application of by clicking here.
DOWNLOADS
The Current version available to download is V9.73 and this becomes available on the 11th September at 20:00 pm and should be the only version you should need to download. Should I find any issues with the completely unsupported application then I will update this page / site accordingly.

Dashboard + Instructions (4mb)

Dashboard + Instructions + Movie (16mb)

Dashboard + Instructions + Movie + Promo Movie (87mb)

ISSUES
Should your saved scores not load when you restart the Wall Chart there may have been some issue with your Internet Cache. Should you wish to reset the whole application simply clear out your cache and the scorecard will return to its initial state.

This wall chart was built using the SAP BI Suite and although I work for SAP this work is not in any way aphiliated to my employers, it’s just an example of what can be built. This application needs no SAP products installed and only requires the adobe Flash player. This should be installed as part of your windows browser but you can download from www.adobe.com. Please do let me know your thoughts in the comments section below. My thanks go to Ryan at Centigon Solutions for the use of his excellent Sort component.

Love it, does it work in Chrome?

Hi, Looks like a nice app but not for us MAC users. I don’t suppose there is any likelihood of a MAC compatible app?

    This looks really useful.

As well as IE, it also seems to work in Firefox, although the docs don’t mention this. Are there any known issues in FF?

Also, the data is saved in the IE cache. Have you considered allowing it to be stored elsewhere? I am particularly thinking of in “The Cloud” -- I use Google Drive, but “other products are available :-)” . This would mean that my work laptop and home desktop (and poss my Android tablet) could share the data, and I would only need to update one of them. Perhaps for Euro 2016?

the tech i use to build this was not really designed to create wall charts…. so the only location I can save scenario data is the cache… next time….
